We have had a fantastic learning experience thanks to a Victorian lady who visited us to tell us all about seaside holidays. She showed us artefacts from the past and photos too. We did a drama workshop and pretended we were going on a steam train to the coast. We imagined playing in the sand, eating ice cream, getting ready for a swim in a bathing machine and other seaside fun.
Sounds very exciting! We can't wait to start looking at our new topic, the seaside, next term!
