Stories Jesus Told: The Prodigal Son

Christians believe that Jesus was a good storyteller who told some of the most well-known stories in the world.  His stories are written in  the bible.  Jesus used stories to teach people about God and how they should live.  These stories are called parables.  Watch the parable of 'The Prodigal Son'.  What do you think Jesus was trying to teach people with this story?

Seaside Holidays in the Past

We have had a fantastic learning experience thanks to a Victorian lady who  visited us to tell us all about  seaside holidays.  She showed us artefacts from the past and photos too.  We did a drama workshop and pretended we were going on a  steam train to the coast.  We imagined playing in the sand, eating ice cream, getting ready for a swim in a bathing machine and other seaside fun.

Thank you to TEACH-IT through DRAMA.  We had a wonderful morning!

Making a House for The Three Little Pigs

Do you know the story about The Three Little Pigs?  We designed a new house for them.   First of all we looked at some model houses and thought about the features that they had.  We got some ideas from lego houses like this one opposite.  Next we drew a picture of our own house design.

We thought about the materials we might need to build our house.  Then we made them out of things we had brought in from home.

The Kiss That Missed

This book is a great read!  We have looked at the story and thought about adjectives to describe the characters.  We  studied  the  plot and now we are going to use it as inspiration to write our own stories.  We are going to write a story with four parts.
The story plot can be divided into four main parts.
