Safer Internet Day - 9.2.16

Today was Safer Internet Day.

In Year 1 we thought of 5 golden rules to keep us safe on the Internet. We agreed, as a class, the rules we thought were the most important to follow. Then, in groups, we made our own posters which are going to be displayed in KS1 classrooms.

Here are some videos of us explaining what we do to stay safe on the Internet:

29.01.16 Phonic games

We played some phonic games today with a partner to help us improve our phonic knowledge!

Some games tested us on our tricky words and some tested us on our digraph/trigraphs.

22.01.16 paint!

In art this week we have been learning how to use different paintbrush techniques.

We thought it would be a great idea to use these techniques on the paint program on the computer.

Have a look at some of our wonderful pictures!

Here is a video of Marius explaining what he is doing:

15.01.16 Maths games!

Today we had the laptops in our classroom.

We worked in small groups to play some place value maths games.

08.01.16 - Where are we?

Today in our geography lesson we used google maps to zoom in on our school!

We have been looking at the United Kingdom and today we focused on the county we live in - England.

'Wow England is so big', said Olii.

'We live in England!', said Rocco.

'I wonder if we can see ourselves?', said Bobbi-Jayne.
