Jobs Week!

This week was a special week as it was Jobs Week!

We were very lucky to have several visitors come in and tell us all about their jobs.

Our first visitor was Tash who is a nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.

Tash told us all about what she has to do everyday at work and how she became a nurse.

Telling us about Florence Nightingale.

Look at all the things nurses have to do!

We got to practise different jobs a nurse has to do.

Tash modelling how to put a bandage on.

Look into my eyes!

Talking about germs!

Our second visitor was Emma, an education officer from the Charity Dogs Trust. We were even lucky enough to meet Luna, Emma's dog!

Emma taught us how to look after a dog properly.

She also told us all about what happens at The Dogs Trust.

Luna was so well behaved!

She sat when she wanted a treat.

Sitting on a chair!

This is what we do if a dog comes up to us and we might feel scared.

You should always ask the owner if you are allowed to stroke their dog. Let them sniff you first!

Our third visitor was Mr Jeffries, a firefighter for the London Fire Brigade.

Mr Jeffries told us all about a firefighters role and all the things they have to do.

Showing us the helmet.

We got to try it on!

Taylor got to try on the gloves and Amelia tried on the jacket.

Wow! Those trousers and boots are huge!

Here is a video of Mr Jeffries teaching us what to do if we were to ever catch fire:

Practicing STOP DROP AND ROLL!
We were so inspired by our visitors that we decided to write a book about different jobs:

Thank you to all our visitors. You've definitely made us think about what we would like to be when we grow up!
